Jonathan Rubin BVSc MRCVS
Head Veterinarian
I was born in South Africa and qualified from Onderstepoort, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in South Africa in 2002. I have lived and worked in the UK as a vet, since 2003, working in small animal practices, referral clinics, out-of-hours emergency centres and as a locum throughout England. I opened Battlers Green Vets in July of 2019 to do things differently- to offer a familiar face, personal touch to vetting and have watched it grow into our amazing clinic we have now. I enjoy all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. I live with my wife and 2 young boys and our 2 cats Marvin and Sylvie and my 2 Romanian Rescue dogs – Billy and Betsy. In my free time I enjoy football and generally being outdoors, watching movies and havingBraais (BBQ ).

She lives with her husband, her son, and her much-loved cat, Mitzi. She also has a pond with fish, which she says adds a little bit of nature and tranquillity to her home. In her spare time, she enjoys engaging in winter sports.
