Jonathan Rubin BVSc MRCVS
Head Veterinarian
I was born in South Africa and qualified from Onderstepoort, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in South Africa in 2002. I have lived and worked in the UK as a vet, since 2003, in small animal practices, referral clinics, out-of-hours emergency centres and as a locum throughout England. I opened Battlers Green Vets in July of 2019 and have watched it grow into our amazing clinic we have now. I enjoy all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. I live with my wife and 2 young boys and our 2 cats Marvin and Sylvie and my Romanian Rescue dog – Billy. In my free time I enjoy football and generally being outdoors.

David Mills MA VetMB PhD CERTAVP(VC) CERTAVP(AWSEL)
Veterinarian
Graduating in 2008 from Cambridge University, David has spent most of his career with companion animals, working in a variety of very busy charity and private vets – there are few conditions he has not encountered. He has particular interests in cardiology and surgery (including orthopaedics), having gained post-graduate qualifications in both, and has significant experience with diagnostic imaging (especially ultrasound). He enjoys working with owners to provide an excellent level of care for their animals. In his spare time, multiple family dogs (up to 9 at any one time) keep him somewhat occupied.

Marie Connolly
Head Veterinary Nurse
Marie joined Battlers Green Veterinary Centre in March 2025 as the Head Veterinary nurse. Marie started her veterinary career 14 years ago and has worked in both busy branches and 24hr emergency care. She has a special interest in patient care, alongside medicine and anaesthesia. Marie has also gained a certificate in feline nursing and is due to complete a veterinary practice management certificate this year. At home, she is the owner of two dog’s and three cats who keep her extremely busy, especially when it comes to feeding times! Outside of work, Marie has a passion for CrossFit training and will often sign up for charity races and events.

Molly Berry
Veterinary Nurse
Molly is currently just one exam away from qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse after having studied for three years at Middlesex University. She has worked with all animals ranging from dogs and cats to arctic foxes and wolves! She was inspired to become a veterinary nurse after nursing her poorly childhood dog. Molly has 7 pets at home: a Labrador named Bea, a Collie cross named Blue, three rescue cats named Bunny, Boo and Freddie as well as two rescue rabbits named Berry and Cherry. She enjoys going to concerts, running and painting.

Georgia Pearson
Student Veterinary Nurse
Georgia has been a Veterinary Care Assistant, here at Battlers Green Veterinary Centre, since she joined in August 2021. Georgia started her student training in April 2023. Her main interests outside of work are drawing, reading, watching movies, and playing with her pets. Georgia has an adorable Italian greyhound called Nina and a shy rescue hamster called Marsipan (Mars for short).

Chloe Golding
Student Veterinary Nurse
Chloe has worked previously as a receptionist at another veterinary practice before joining Battlers Green Veterinary Centre in December 2023 as the head receptionist. Since then, she has progressed in her studies and is currently on her path studying as a Student Veterinary Nurse. She hopes after qualifying she can go on to get her Advanced Nursing qualification and continue to expand her knowledge. Chloe has quite the pet household: 2 Cane Corso’s, Clyde & Nera. A Leopard Gecko Randall, African Snail ‘Bluey’, a Cornsnake Severus Snape and two Rabbits Blossom & Alfalfa. She enjoys spending time with her partner and two young girls: enjoying movie nights, plenty of musical theatre and outdoor adventures.
